Brief Description of the Scope

Project Scope:

The scope of the project includes the construction, assembly, and installation of the fly ash transport network in the new DEI S.A. SES Ptolemaida 5, with a nominal capacity of 660 MWel, that burns pulverized lignite as fuel.

The main works include:

(a) Configuration of the pipelines for the fly ash transport system, and in particular:

installation of pressure vessels on the electrostatic filters with their fixtures and components,
construction and support of ash carrying pipelines,
assembly, welding & installation of the air network pipelines,
installation & welding of the necessary connector parts
installation of the system’s required instruments and components
overall construction support
system cleaning and quality control

Installation of Electromechanical Equipment

(b) Mounting & installation of electromechanical equipment at the compression station, and in particular:

installation of compressors,
installation of absorption dryer & carbon filters,
installation of air receivers and other auxiliary mechanical equipment.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

In the framework of the project, the company T. MAVRIDIS P.C.C. is responsible for quality assurance of the ash system. The company also oversees all quality control testing and the implementation of the quality control plan. It is fully responsible for the management, coordination, and execution of the anticipated, non-destructive tests, as well as certification of all employed personnel.
