Brief Description of the Scope

Project Scope:

The project involves the erection/ construction of the induced draft fan system (ID FANS), as well as the array of recirculation fans and combustion air supply fans at the DEI S.A. lignite SES Ptolemaida 5. The steam-electric power station has a nominal electrical power of 660 MWel. It utilizes pulverized lignite as fuel and has the capacity for simultaneous supply of thermal power up to 140 MWth.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

In the framework of the project, the company T. MAVRIDIS P.C.C. is responsible for quality assurance of the ash system. The company also oversees all quality control testing and the implementation of the quality control plan. It is fully responsible for the management, coordination, and execution of the anticipated, non-destructive tests, as well as certification of all employed personnel.

The company undertook and successfully carried out, in addition to construction, the comprehensive management and coordination of the project, employing specialized and certified personnel in the appropriate areas of expertise.

Erection/ Construction of the Induced Draft Fan System (ID FANS)

The works included, in particular:

- Coil installation,
- Equipment shell assembly & erection,
- Rotor and fan blade installation,
- Seating anchors installation,
- Equipment alignment testing and recording,
- Braking system installation,
- Cooling & sealing system installation,
- Installation of expansion connectors between individual parts,
- Final assembly of the main parts,
- Commissioning of lubrication units,
- Installation & alignment of the main electric motor.
